TEETH (Words Elvis Never Said)

I grind my teeth in my sleep.
I dream that my teeth are falling out.
My dentist examines my gums.
My jaw pops out of my mouth.

I'm in my home.
I'm examining the walls.
I notice something hidden under the paint.
I scrape the paint away.
In the walls are hundreds of tiny drawers.
And inside each drawer
is one of my teeth.
I put them in my mouth for safekeeping.
But
accidentally,
I swallow them.
A wave of catastrophe passes over me.

I see Elvis
falling through space
plunging
into the void.

ME: "ELVIS! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"
ELVIS: "Plungin'!"
ME: "PLUNGING? PLUNGING WHERE?!?"
ELVIS: "The void!"
